2025 Committee of Management Candidates
CANDIDATE: Bill Evaroa
Kia ora koutou,
I stand for re-election as a member of the committee of management for Ngamanawa Incorporation.
I am the eldest child of Bill Uma Evaroa (who was a teacher at Bethlehem Primary School in the early 1950s) and Sonia Evaroa. Her father was Sonny Perry Te Mete of Ngāti Hangarau and her mother was Polly Urupare Bidois of Pirirakau. Her uncle Vic Smith, was a key figure in the formation of Ngamanawa Inc. I am honoured to continue on with his legacy. I am married to Kathryn and we have one son, Mataio.
My qualifications include a B.Com in accounting from Auckland University. In my working career, I was a New Zealand
chartered accountant and member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
My career was in finance in the international oil and gas industry, returning to New Zealand in 2013. I was voted on to the Ngamanawa Committee of Management in 2014. I am also a trustee for Ngati Ranginui Fisheries Trust, leading it’s aquaculture settlement. Currently the chair of Tauranga-Moana Miro Limited Partnership, an investment entity in blueberries.
I have also been involved in the development of Rockit apples from 2014, being the chair of two grower entities for almost ten
years and chair of the Growers Trust. I have scaled this back to now only being a director of the Rockit Apple Grower Trust.
I believe I add financial and governance experience to our board and would promote the continued financial growth of Ngamanawa, along with the protection of our taiao.
Ngā mihi nui, -Bill Evaroa
CANDIDATE: Bradley Ririnui
Tēnā koutou katoa,
Ko Bradley Ririnui tōku ingoa. I am putting my name forward for the Committee of Management for Ngamanawa Incorporation.
“He uri ahau o Ngai Te Ahi, Ngāti Hē. Ko Tūtauanui tōku tupuna."
My whakapapa to the Incorporation comes through my father Wikiriwhi Ririnui, a shareholder through his mother Tiramate Ririnui (née Moiri).
From 2021–2024, I had the privilege of serving as an Associate on the Committee as part of the succession pathway. This experience deepened my understanding of the mahi and responsibilities required to serve our shareholders and whenua. I currently serve as a Trustee of Ranginui No.12 Trust, where I hold Te Pou Pākihi, nurturing the relationships between Zespri, postharvest and orchard managers, to support productivity and performance across the Trusts Orchard portfolio.
Professionally, I work full time for Zespri International as a Grower Relations Manager — a role I’ve held for the past six years — which has given me valuable experience in the kiwifruit industry, grower engagement, and commercial operations. I am also a Trustee of the Bay of Plenty Farm Environmental Trust, supporting sustainable land practices across our rohe.
My strengths lie in operational leadership, collaborative environments, and improving systems to ensure they are fit for
purpose, future-focused, and grounded in tikanga.
I am committed to protect and grow our collective whenua, strengthen governance through experience and integrity,
while supporting the aspirations of current and future shareholders.
Ngā mihi nui, - Bradley Ririnui
