The Ngamanawa Incorporation Discretionary Grant is designed to support individuals and community organisations in achieving their goals. A Discretionary Grant will provide support to individuals and other organisations which will enable them to pursue activities for their own benefit and for the benefit of their communities.  

Criteria: Individuals must be a shareholder or descendants of a shareholder of Ngamanawa Incorporation. All grants considered will be at Trustee’s discretion.

Marae

The purpose of the Ngamanawa Charitable Trust Marae Grant is to promote Community, Hapū and Iwi Development within the eligible Marae.

Marae grants will be provided to Marae only for the administration and maintenance of the land and physical structure of the Marae, for the Marae to provide education to its members or to assist the Marae further with other charitable purposes.

Kaumātua

To be eligible for a Kaumātua Grant application you must be a shareholder and be over the age of 65 years. You do not need to have attended the AGM to be eligible for the grant. Applications should include verified bank account details (letter, statement or deposit slip from the bank) and you must provide proof of age such as a copy of a drivers licence or similar the first time you apply.

Leading a healthy lifestyle, whilst encouraging team-work and competition are key attributes that the Ngamanawa Incorporation chose to encourage and support within its local communities. For this reason, an annual amount is provided by Ngamanawa Incorporation to support clubs & teams competing across local, national or international events & tournaments.

Criteria: The applicant is based within the rohe of Tauranga Moana and Te Poi/Matamata district (please contact the Incorporation if you need clarification).
