Brad Ririnui
Ngā Rauaka - Board Associate
“There is huge opportunity for growth in the business and the current Board have the understanding that making decisions for business, may not always be the best for the people and the land. I feel that operating under this ethos, means that the people of Ngamanawa Incorporation can be sure that the decisions the are being made, are in everyone’s best interest.”
Brad is an uri of Tauranga Moana through and through. He has whakapapa to Ngai Te Rangi and Ngāti Ranginui.
Brad is a dairy farmer by trade. He also spent some time working in the Lakes development in Tauranga (stages 1 & 2) before moving back to the Agriculture & Horticulture sector as a land surveyor, where he spent 12 years working for a locally owned business called GPSit.
Over this time Brad travelled to many parts of the country surveying farms and kiwifruit orchards and becoming a licensed UAV operator. He wore many hats while at GPSit, working with other companies such as Zespri, Fonterra, Balance, Waterforce, and New Zealand Rugby to name a few. Since then, Brad has found himself working for Zespri as a Grower Liaison Manager, looking after growers across Tauranga, Coromandel and Hawkes Bay.
Brad joined Ngamanawa Incorporation in 2020 on the Ngā Rauaka associates programme. Brad says “I have always felt a connection to Ngamanawa, spending time in the ngahere at Waitaia Lodge as a young boy. My father and/or Nan & Koro would often travel up Omanawa and into the bush to get away. I then came to learn of the pine tree contracts, leading to the opportunity of investing in other ventures”
Brad continues to follow his reconnection back to Ngamanawa and believes Ngā Rauaka is the perfect way to do so.
