Bill Evaroa
Committee of Management
“My vision for Ngamanawa Incorporation is a strong economic entity that is able to hold its own with local government and other commercial entities. Robust enough to support and promote the aspirations of its shareholders”
Bill is an uri of the Te Mete whānau from Ngāti Hangarau and the Bidois whānau from Te Pirirākau. On his father’s side he is a mix of Irish, McBirney and Atiuan (Cook Islands). He was always aware of Ngamanawa Incorporation from an early age, through his uncles who were keen pig hunters and knowledge passed down by his uncle Vic.
Bill spent 27 years in the international oil and gas industry; mainly in the Middle East, Asia and Africa before returning back to New Zealand in 2013 as he decided it was time to give back to his whānau, hapū and iwi.
A highlight of Ngamanwa Incorporation for Bill is being part of the economic growth of the incorporation and growing awareness of the precious tāonga that we have been gifted. Whilst in his role he hopes to achieve a financially sound entity with competent governance in place.
